Reasons: Recorded only from Kure, Midway, and Laysan in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. It was last documented in 1964. The vegetation of Laysan was heavily damaged by feral rabbits in the early 1900's. Kure and Midway have been degraded by the development of military installations. If still extant, current threats may include alien plants and animals.
