Description of Cyclotrichium:
Didiniid ciliate, with 1 ciliary girdle, just behind flattened oral area, composed of monokinetids arranged in zig-zag; additional somatic cilia sparsely distributed posterior to girdle.

Cyclotrichium is a genus of plants in the Lamiaceae, first described as a genus in 1953. The entire genus is endemic to southwestern Asia (Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon).[1]
