Vitex gaumeri (synonym Vitex pyramidata) is a species of plant in the Lamiaceae family. It is found in Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Panama.  Other common names include - Crucillo, Fiddlewood, Higuerillo, Lizardwood, Nichte, Vitex, Ya-axnic, Yashcabte, Yashnik, Yasnic, Yaxnic, Yaxnik, Yax-nik, Walking Lady  Common uses for the wood of this tree include - Agricultural implements, Farm vehicles, Flooring, Furniture , General carpentry, Golf club heads, Millwork, Plywood, Sporting Goods, Tool handles, Vehicle parts, Veneer, Veneer: decorative.  It was frustratingly difficult to get good photos of these trees. The leaves were mostly too high for me to reach, and the jungle was quite dark.
