Abstract:

Hedeoma multiflorum Bentham is an aromatic species in danger of extinction in the hilly country of the provinces of San Luis and Cordoba, Argentina. Our aim was to regenerate and propagate it in vitro to get plantlets for future plans of conservation of genetic resources. Tissue disinfectants and in vitro culture media were tested. Whole plants were obtained, strong, vigorous and in excellent sanitary conditions which, after acclimatization, were apt for outdoor transplanting.
