Both triterpenoid acids were present in all of the investigated taxa, but the plants belonging in the subfamily Nepetoideae produced significantly higher amounts than those in the subfamily Lamioideae. The oleanolic acid content ranged from traces to 1.840% dry weight, and that of ursolic acid from traces to 4.019% dry weight. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
